6 Years Old, Papered, Red Dun, Quarter Horse.

Good muscle, solid black feet, and strong cow sense. He’s been used the past two years by experienced hands to rope calves, head and heel yearlings, drag calves at brandings, gather horses from the winter range, and gather pairs out of big country.

He’s sure-footed, dependable, and calm—even stands quiet for a bullwhip. This winter, he’s loped a lot of circles to sharpen a soft handle and build responsiveness. He moves off leg pressure and knows how to get a job done.

Oscar is on the lazy side, but he’ll cover country all day and for many miles. He can go several days in a row and does better when used consistently.

He stays quiet, but can be opinionated—sometimes showing it with a small fit when asked to do something he doesn’t want to. He’s been ridden through it every time; it’s more of an annoyance than anything dangerous, as he’s not mean or broncy,but he needs a consistent rider who can keep him honest.

Oscar isn’t a colt, but he’s still young and has the foundation to make a solid partner for the right hand.
